Terms of service

Updated August 20, 2026

These terms govern your use of AutoApply. By creating an account you agree to them. They are meant to be readable; where a clause exists to protect us, it says so plainly rather than hiding in a paragraph of capital letters.

1. What the service does

You give us your job-search profile and criteria. We look for matching openings on the application systems companies use, submit applications on your behalf through their public forms up to a daily limit, keep evidence of each submission, and email you a report.

We act on your instructions and in your name. You are the applicant; we are the tool.

2. What we do not promise

We do not promise, and cannot promise:

  • That you will receive replies, interviews, or offers.
  • That any particular employer will consider or respond to an application.
  • That a specific number of matching jobs will exist on any given day. The daily figure in your plan is a maximum, not a quota, and we will not fill it with roles outside your criteria.
  • That the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Anyone in this market promising interview or offer outcomes is promising something that belongs to the employer, not to them.

3. Your account

You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a contract. Keep your credentials to yourself; you are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access.

One account is for one person. Do not use the service to apply on behalf of somebody else unless they have asked you to and you have their authority to submit their information.

4. Your information, and applications made in your name

Everything we submit comes from what you gave us. You are responsible for the accuracy of your profile, your work authorisation answers, your experience, and any material you ask us to write from. Applications carry your name and your legal responsibility for their contents.

If a question cannot be answered from your profile, we hold the application and tell you rather than inventing an answer.

You can switch any copilot to review mode, in which nothing is submitted until you approve it. If you leave it on automatic, you are authorising us to submit applications matching your criteria without approving each one.

You may not use the service to submit information you know to be false, to apply to the same employer at a volume intended to overwhelm them, or to harass anyone.

5. Third-party employers and their systems

Applications are submitted through employers' publicly available application forms. Your relationship with those employers, and their handling of your data, is between you and them, under their terms and privacy policies.

We do not use your job-board accounts and never ask for those credentials. Where an employer's own application system requires a candidate account, it is created with your email address so that the account, and any confirmation or password reset, belongs to you.

If an employer asks us to stop submitting applications through their systems, we will comply, and any of their roles will stop appearing in your matches.

6. Limits and fair use

Each plan includes a maximum number of applications per day. The limit is part of the product: it exists so that submissions remain verifiable and so that your applications do not read as automated behaviour. We will not raise it on request, and attempting to work around it — for example by running several accounts for one person — is a breach of these terms.

7. Subscriptions and payment

Subscriptions are billed in advance for the period you choose (weekly, monthly or quarterly) and renew automatically until cancelled. Prices are shown on the pricing page in the currency stated there; taxes may be added depending on where you are.

Payment is processed by Stripe. Cancel at any time from your billing page; your access continues until the end of the period you have paid for. Refunds are covered by the refunds policy, which forms part of these terms.

We may change prices. If we do, existing subscribers are told by email before it affects them, and the change applies from the next renewal.

8. Availability and changes to the service

We will make reasonable efforts to keep the service running, but we do not offer an uptime guarantee. Maintenance, outages at our providers, and changes at employers' application systems can all interrupt applications. When a run does not happen, your daily report says so.

We may change or discontinue features. If we remove something material to your plan, we will tell you and, where it matters, refund the unused part of your period.

9. Ending it

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Your data. See the privacy policy for what happens to your data.

We may suspend or end your account if you breach these terms, if we are required to by law, or if your use creates a real risk to the service or to other users. Except where the breach is serious or repeated, we will tell you what the problem is and give you a chance to fix it. If we end your account without cause, we will refund the unused part of your current period.

10. Intellectual property

The site, the software, and our written content belong to us. Your résumé, your profile and everything you give us remain yours; you grant us the licence needed to run the service — to store it, process it, generate application material from it, and submit it to employers on your instruction.

Documents generated for you — tailored résumés, cover letters, answers — are yours to use however you like.

11. Liability

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Subject to that: we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of opportunity, including a job you did not get. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before it arose.

The reasoning is simple: this is a low-cost subscription, and the outcomes of a job search are not within our control.

12. Consumer rights

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live and that cannot be waived by agreement. Where a clause here conflicts with such a right, the right wins.

The legal entity operating the service is being finalised; this section will be updated with the entity's details and the governing law when it is. Until then, we will not rely on any choice of law or venue to defeat a claim you would otherwise be able to bring where you live.

13. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that affects you materially, we will email the address on your account before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new version. The date at the top shows the current one.
